As music industry programs throughout the U.S. continue to experience increased student demand, finding qualified faculty is becoming a barrier to program expansion. Music Industry Educators (MIE) offers an effective solution. Put simply, MIE is a consortium of adjunct Music Industry faculty for hire. Through adoption of our courses - and appointing our faculty as temporary adjuncts – an institution can immediately add additional class sections of your current program offerings – or offer new courses - without having to invest in course development or locate qualified instructors.
If you have a currently-existent music industry program of study, utilizing MIE’s services for additional class sections involves 1) contacting MIE to set up a meeting, 2) review our courses for equivalency (SP) to your curricula, and 3) after review of MIE faculty credentials – approve the appointment of applicable MIE faculty as temporary adjuncts within your program. Please note, adding new courses from MIE will involve the additional steps of submitting proposed MIE curricula to your institution’s curriculum process.
If you do not have a music industry program of study, MIE can develop one for you. For more information or to schedule a teleconference with MIE, please feel out the form at the bottom of the page.
